So check it. Ever have a day where you do something sweet and 1 person makes a snide comment that makes you feel like crap? I did today. Our system is a year old and kickin-butt so to celebrate we got a cake and I wrote a poem. It was hilarious! Everyone liked it except one developer who is the grumpy one, which I respect a lot. He says to me, " I should be angry with you, because cause you accredited its creation with a different developer". I was like " it was a poem!, who cares, I already mentioned you in the poem before". Oh well, Guess I can't please everyone.

RANT:
Ok, here is it ... Buzzword wielding managers! They suck! They cheapen the English language and are the smoke and mirrors of intelligence. If you are reading this then you can probably get around on the internet. If you can you may have or have had an office job. My guess is you probably have worked with one of these degenerate corporate suck monkey ass clowns. You know the type, short hair always in slacks and button down shirt. Always kissing their bosses ass. Unmistakable in their armor of business attire. They use words like "Task" and "Paradigm". Follow up is always important to these people. Their species is known for the "get things done" attitude. We humans see this as Micro-managing. Trying to grasp technical situations in conference rooms is somewhat a daunting task for these corporation based amoebas. When they don't know what they are talking they try some miss-direction and say "lets talk about this offline" or "That was my next point". So you may ask yourself how can they possibly sound smart then? Well I'll tell you that invade the IT/network engineer's dictionary for words that sound technical that they can use in their conference calls. These are such words as "Ping" and "Bandwidth". These are used in the following way: "lets ping Rob and see what the status is of that task" or " Does Robert have the bandwidth for this project?". Rarely do these sales men of management solve any problems themselves. They make their way on the back of their employees. Always willing to respond to the client or customer so it appears they are doing the work. So If you work for or with one of these gutter sucking leaches, I am truly sorry. For every good there is an evil. In a way it is inevitable that this a driving force in big business. Big business is evil and evil will always find evil. Perhaps I am crazy to think the grunt work for an evil company can be good, but, I do feel that what I do is good and will continue to fight the evil for my co-workers. Now, that to me is heroic.
